Inviting Team Members
Introduction
Building a successful team begins with inviting players into your iSoccer team environment.
Team invitations allow Team Owners to add players, assign training plans, monitor progress, and build a connected training community.
Before Inviting Members
Before sending invitations, ensure:
- Your Team Subscription is active.
- You have available team seats.
- The player has a valid email address.
- The player is willing to join your team.
Each active member occupies one available team seat.
Sending an Invitation
To invite a player:
- Open the Team page.
- Create a team (for example, "U18 Squad A") if one does not already exist.
- Select the team you want to manage.
- Enter the player's email address.
- Send the invitation.
Team Owners can create and manage multiple teams. However, a player can only belong to one team at a time.
After an invitation is sent:
- If the player already has an iSoccer account, the invitation will automatically appear on their My Team page and can also be accessed through the invitation email.
- If the player does not yet have an iSoccer account, they can use the invitation email to create an account and join the team.
If the Player Already Has an iSoccer Account
If the email address already belongs to an existing iSoccer user:
- The invitation can be accepted directly.
- Team membership will be added to the user's account.
- Premium team access becomes available once the invitation is accepted.
If the Player Does Not Yet Have an Account
If the player is new to iSoccer:
- The invitation remains pending.
- The player creates an iSoccer account using the invited email address.
- The invitation can then be accepted.
This helps ensure team membership is linked to the correct user account.
Invited Members
A invited member is a player who has been invited but has not yet completed the joining process.
Invited members:
- Do not have access to team plans.
- Do not occupy an active team membership.
- Cannot access premium team features.
Team Owners can monitor pending invitations from the Team Members section.
Pending Members with an Individual Subscription
In some cases, a player may already have their own active individual subscription when they accept a team invitation. In this situation, their individual subscription will be scheduled to cancel at the end of its current billing period. Until that billing period ends, the team membership remains in a pending state. Once the individual subscription expires, the team membership automatically becomes active and team-based access is applied.
After accepting the invitation, the player may remain in a pending status while team membership processing is completed. During this period:
- The player can access team training plans.
- The player can participate in team activities.
- The player can complete assigned training and team tasks.
- The player occupies one team seat.
- Team Owners can manage the player as part of the team.
Although the membership status may still display as pending, the player can continue participating in team training and activities without interruption.
Active Members
Once a player accepts an invitation, they become an active team member.
Active members can:
- Access assigned plans.
- Access premium drills.
- Participate in team activities.
- View team leaderboards.
- Interact with team announcements.
Active members occupy a team seat.
Team Seat Limits
Each team subscription includes a fixed number of seats.
If all seats are currently in use:
- New invitations may be restricted.
- Additional seats may need to be purchased.
- Existing members may need to be removed before new members can join.
Team Owners can monitor seat usage from the Team page.
Removing a Team Member
A Team Owner may remove a player from the team when required.
Common reasons include:
- Player leaving the club
- Team restructuring
- Seat management
- Administrative changes
After removal:
- Team plan access ends.
- Team premium access ends.
- Personal plans remain available.
- Personal training history remains available.
Team Announcements
Once members have joined the team, Team Owners can communicate using Team Announcements.
Announcements can be used to:
- Share training information
- Provide updates
- Communicate schedules
- Encourage participation
Team Members can view announcements and, where enabled, respond to them.
Privacy Settings
Players may have privacy controls that determine how their execution statements and activity information are shared with other members of the team.
Team Owners may still retain visibility into team-related training activity required for team management and development.
Best Practices for Team Owners
To build an effective team environment:
- Keep member information up to date.
- Remove inactive members when appropriate.
- Monitor seat usage regularly.
- Encourage players to complete assigned plans.
- Use announcements to maintain communication.
Consistent communication and engagement often lead to stronger participation and better training outcomes.
