Assigning Team Training Plans
Introduction
One of the most powerful features of the iSoccer Team Subscription is the ability to create training plans and assign them to players.
Assigned plans help coaches, managers, and academies deliver structured development programs while allowing players to complete sessions independently.
What Is an Assigned Team Plan?
An Assigned Team Plan is a training plan created by a Team Owner and allocated to one or more team members.
Assigned plans help ensure players:
- Follow consistent training programs
- Focus on team development goals
- Complete training outside scheduled team sessions
- Maintain accountability and participation
Creating a Team Training Plan
To create a team training plan:
- Open Plan Create.
- Build the training plan.
- Save the plan.
- Go to the Edit Plan page and find the plan you created.
- Open the Team tab and click Manage Team Plan.
- Select the team you created earlier and save the assignment.
- Return to the My Team page and open the team.
- The plan will now appear in the team, where you can assign it to one or more players.
Team Owners can create plans specifically for:
- Entire squads
- Small groups
- Individual players
- Rehabilitation programs
- Position-specific development
Assigning a Plan
When assigning a plan, Team Owners can choose:
- Individual players
- Multiple players
- Entire teams
This flexibility allows training programs to be tailored to different development needs.
Examples:
Entire Team
A coach may assign:
Weekly Ball Mastery Program
to all players.
Position Group
A coach may assign:
Advanced Finishing Program
to all forwards.
Individual Player
A coach may assign:
Hamstring Recovery Program
to a single player returning from injury.
What Players See
When a plan is assigned:
- The player receives access to the assigned plan.
- The plan appears on their Dashboard page and Edit Plan page.
- The player can review plan details.
- The player can begin training immediately.
Assigned plans remain separate from personal plans.
Completing Assigned Plans
Players complete assigned plans in the same way as personal plans.
They can:
- Open the assigned plan.
- Review drill information.
- Run the training session.
- Record results.
Training activity contributes to the player's overall training history.
Tracking Participation
Team Owners can monitor training participation across the team.
Depending on available features, coaches may review:
- Plan completion activity
- Training consistency
- Execution history
- Player progress
- Team engagement
This helps identify players who may require additional support or encouragement.
Assigned Plans vs Personal Plans
Assigned plans and personal plans can exist at the same time.
Personal Plans
Created and managed by the player.
Assigned Plans
Created and managed by the Team Owner.
Both contribute to:
- Training history
- Results
- Awards
- Progress tracking
Updating an Assigned Plan
If a training plan changes:
- Update the plan.
- Save the changes.
- Reassign if required.
Players will then receive the updated version according to the team's training structure.
Removing an Assigned Plan
Team Owners may remove assigned plans when:
- A program has been completed.
- A season has ended.
- A player changes groups.
- Training priorities change.
Removing an assignment does not delete a player's historical training records.
Best Practices for Coaches
To get the best results from assigned plans:
- Keep objectives clear.
- Use realistic workloads.
- Match plans to player ability.
- Review participation regularly.
- Adjust plans based on progress.
Consistent communication often improves player engagement and completion rates.
