Team Announcements and Team Leaderboards
Introduction
Training plans help players improve, but communication and motivation are equally important.
The Team Announcement and Team Leaderboard features help Team Owners communicate with players, celebrate progress, and encourage participation throughout the season.
Together, these features help create a more connected and engaged team environment.
Team Announcements
Team Announcements allow Team Owners to communicate directly with players within iSoccer.
Announcements can be used to:
- Share training updates
- Provide coaching messages
- Communicate schedules
- Highlight achievements
- Remind players about assigned plans
- Share important team information
Announcements appear within the Team section and are visible to team members.
Creating an Announcement
Team Owners can:
- Open the Team page.
- Select a team.
- Open the Announcements section.
- Create a new announcement.
- Publish the announcement.
Once published, all team members can view the message.
Types of Announcements
Examples include:
Training Reminder

Match Preparation
Focus on recovery and mobility work before Saturday's match.
Team Achievement

Member Responses
Depending on team settings and future platform updates, team members may be able to:
- Read announcements
- Acknowledge announcements
- Reply to announcements
- Participate in team discussions
This helps improve communication between coaches and players.
Team Leaderboards
Leaderboards provide a friendly way to recognise participation and training effort.
Leaderboards are designed to encourage consistent activity rather than create unhealthy competition.
What Can Be Ranked?
Depending on available features, leaderboards may include:
- Training sessions completed
- Training time
- Ball touches
- Reward points earned
- Consistency achievements
- Team participation
Leaderboard categories may expand as new platform features are introduced.
Leaderboards rule version 1 in iSoccer uses the following points system:
- Minutes × 10
- Volume × 1
- Touches × 0.2
- Runs × 25
- Active days × 50
A player's leaderboard score is calculated by combining the points earned from each of these categories.
Why Use Leaderboards?
Leaderboards help:
- Encourage regular training
- Increase participation
- Recognise effort
- Promote accountability
- Build team culture
Many players find visible progress motivating.
Fair Competition
Coaches should encourage players to view leaderboards as a development tool rather than a measure of personal worth.
The goal is to support:
- Growth
- Consistency
- Participation
- Team engagement
Every player develops at a different pace.
Privacy and Visibility
Some training information may be controlled through player privacy settings.
Depending on platform configuration:
- Team Owners may see more information than team members.
- Players may control certain visibility settings.
- Team reports may contain additional coaching information.
Always respect team privacy requirements and club policies.
Recognising Success
Leaderboards can be used alongside announcements to celebrate achievements.
Examples:
- Most improved player
- Highest training consistency
- Most sessions completed
- Most ball touches
- Team participation milestones
Positive recognition often increases long-term engagement.
Best Practices for Team Owners
To maximise engagement:
- Post announcements regularly.
- Recognise effort, not only results.
- Encourage participation from all players.
- Celebrate improvement.
- Use leaderboards constructively.
Consistent communication helps build stronger team culture.
