Speed/Agility – lateral bounds Side to side

Player jumps laterally from one leg to the other, landing under control before pushing back across. This drill develops side-to-side power, balance, and change-of-direction strength; it can be used for warm up.

  • Land softly on one foot
  • Keep the knee aligned over the foot
  • Control the body before bounding back

Common mistakes

  • Landing with the knee collapsing inward
  • Rushing without balance
  • Jumping too far for control
  • Letting the upper body twist excessively
