Goalkeeping - scoop save technique
The goalkeeper lowers the body behind the ball, brings the hands down early, and scoops the ball securely into the chest. Use this as a main save technique drill for low ball handling.

- Get the body behind the ball
- Bend knees instead of folding at the waist
- Place hands low with little fingers close
- Scoop the ball cleanly into the chest
- Keep eyes on the ball until secured
Common mistakes
- Letting the ball go between the legs
- Bending only from the back
- Hands too late to the ground
- Looking up before securing the ball
