How to Use the Profile Page

Introduction

The Profile page allows you to manage your personal account information, security settings, profile image, login details, and account preferences.

You can use this page to:

  • Upload or change your profile image
  • Update your display name
  • Change your login email address
  • Update your password
  • Review account security activity
  • Remove your account if required

The Profile page is available to:

  • Individual users
  • Team Members
  • Team Owners

Your account type is displayed at the top of the page.


Profile Overview

The Profile page contains six main sections:

  1. Personal Image
  2. Display Name
  3. Email
  4. Password
  5. Security Activity
  6. Remove Account

Personal Image

Purpose

Your profile image appears throughout iSoccer and may be visible in:

  • Team areas
  • Shared results
  • Training records
  • Future social features

Keeping an updated profile image helps teammates and coaches identify you.


Supported Image Types

The system supports:

  • JPG
  • PNG
  • WebP

Maximum file size:

10 MB

Uploading a New Profile Image

Step 1

Select:

Change Photo

Step 2

Choose an image from your device.

Step 3

Use the crop tool to position your image.

The crop area is square to ensure consistent display across the platform.

Step 4

Adjust the zoom slider if needed.

Step 5

Select:

Save Avatar

The image will be compressed automatically for faster loading.


Recommended Image

For best results:

  • Use a clear face photo
  • Use a square image where possible
  • Avoid screenshots with excessive empty space
  • Use good lighting

Display Name

Purpose

Your display name is used throughout iSoccer.

This information may appear in:

  • Results
  • Team views
  • Rewards
  • Referrals
  • Shared content

Nickname

Nickname is mandatory.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 characters
  • Maximum 30 characters
  • Must contain at least one letter
  • Letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens and underscores allowed

Examples:

Andy
Coach Mike
Player_21
GoalKeeper-1

Full Name

Full Name is optional.

Examples:

Andy Li
John Smith
Sarah Jones

Updating Your Profile

After making changes:

Select:

Save Profile

The system automatically updates:

  • Profile record
  • Display name
  • Reward system display name
  • Stripe customer name (if applicable)

Email

Purpose

Your email address is used for:

  • Login
  • Password recovery
  • Subscription billing
  • Security notifications

Changing Your Email

Step 1

Review your current email address.

Step 2

Enter a new email address.

Step 3

Select:

Send Verification

Step 4

Check the new email inbox.

Step 5

Click the verification link.

Your email address will not change until verification is completed.


Important Notes

The system will:

  • Check if the email already exists
  • Prevent duplicate accounts
  • Send a verification email
  • Record the change in Security Activity

Password

Purpose

Use this section to improve account security.


Password Requirements

Passwords must contain:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least 1 uppercase letter
  • At least 1 lowercase letter
  • At least 1 number

Changing Your Password

Step 1

Enter your current password.

Step 2

Enter a new password.

Step 3

Confirm the new password.

Step 4

Review the password strength indicator.

Step 5

Select:

Update Password

Password Strength Indicator

The system provides four levels:

Weak

Password needs improvement.

Fair

Basic requirements partially met.

Good

Suitable for most users.

Strong

Recommended security level.


Security Email Notification

After a successful password change:

  • A confirmation email is sent
  • A security log entry is created

This helps protect your account from unauthorized changes.


Security Activity

Purpose

Security Activity records important account events.

Examples include:

  • Password changes
  • Email change requests
  • Email verification
  • Profile updates
  • Account deletion
  • Account restoration

Viewing Security Activity

Select:

Security Activity

The section expands and loads recent activity.


Information Shown

Each event may display:

  • Event type
  • Event title
  • Date and time
  • Device information
  • IP address
  • Summary

Viewing Details

Select:

View Details

to see:

  • Previous values
  • New values
  • Device information
  • Metadata
  • Security audit information

Why This Matters

Security Activity helps you:

  • Verify account changes
  • Detect unauthorized access
  • Track account history
  • Support troubleshooting

Remove Account

Purpose

This section permanently removes your active iSoccer account.

Use this only when you no longer wish to use the platform.


Account Types

Deletion behaviour differs depending on account type.

Individual User

Removes:

  • Profile
  • Avatar
  • Plans
  • Results
  • Subscriptions
  • Support tickets

Active billing is cancelled immediately.


Team Member

Removes:

  • Personal account data
  • Team membership record
  • Team messages created by the user
  • Team replies created by the user

Team Owner

Removes:

  • Personal account data
  • Team ownership
  • Team groups
  • Team members
  • Team messaging records

Team billing is cancelled immediately.


Protected Historical Records

For audit and future recovery purposes, the following records are preserved:

  • Reward wallet
  • Reward ledger
  • Reward redemptions
  • Voucher history
  • Referral history

This allows future same-email account recovery while maintaining financial and audit integrity.


Deleting Your Account

Step 1

Tick the acknowledgement checkbox.

Step 2

Type:

DELETE MY ACCOUNT

exactly as shown.

Step 3

Select:

Remove Account

Step 4

The system will:

  • Validate the confirmation
  • Process account removal
  • Sign you out automatically
  • Return you to the home page

Best Practices

To keep your account secure:

  • Use a profile image teammates can recognise
  • Keep your email address current
  • Use a strong password
  • Review Security Activity regularly
  • Never share your login credentials
  • Verify unexpected account changes immediately

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I save my profile?

Your nickname may not meet the validation requirements.

Check:

  • Minimum 2 characters
  • Maximum 30 characters
  • Contains at least one letter

Why didn't my email change immediately?

Email changes require verification.

You must click the verification link sent to your new email address.


Why is the Update Password button disabled?

One or more password requirements have not been met.

Check:

  • Current password entered
  • Minimum length
  • Uppercase letter
  • Lowercase letter
  • Number
  • Password confirmation matches

Can I restore a deleted account?

If you register again using the same email address, some historical reward and referral records may be recoverable because audit records are preserved.


Can Team Members delete their own account?

Yes.

However, their team membership and related records will also be removed.


Can Team Owners delete their account?

Yes.

Deleting a Team Owner account also removes owned team structures and cancels active team billing.
